A licorice martini is a delicious treat to serve at a Christmas party.

  • Two strips of black licorice, each about 4 inches (10 cm) long
  • Bottle of vodka
  • Dash of Pernod

Instructions

Allow one strip of black licorice to infuse into the bottle of vodka for half an hour.

Fill a shaker with ice. Pour the infused vodka into the shaker. Shake briskly.

Use the Pernod to rinse a rocks glass. Discard the Pernod.

Fill the rocks glass with ice. Pour the liquid from the shaker into the glass.

Garnish the glass with the second licorice strip. Serve.
